SRI AMAN: Police are on the hunt for three local men for alleged involvement in a cable theft case at the Nanga Klassen Sacofa telecommunication tower here.

Sri Aman police chief DSP Mathew Manggie said the suspects are identified as 28-year-old Jackson Joe Raweng, 31-year-old Doman Yek, and 32-year-old Goyak Empam.

“The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is looking for the three individuals to assist in investigations into a case of cable theft, which was reported on May 18.

“The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code, which carries a prison sentence of up to seven years or a fine or both, upon conviction,” he said.

Mathew assured that efforts are underway to locate and arrest the suspects.
