BINTULU: Two women are among three locals arrested for allegedly being involved in substance abuse last Sunday (Dec 11).
According to the Sarawak Marine Police Region 5, an operation was carried out by Bintulu police task force, Bintulu narcotic police and Bintulu Marine police to a bistro in the city.
During the raid, a man and two women were detained and instructed to undergo urine tests.
Results found that all three of them tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
The suspects were later taken to Bintulu narcotic police office for investigation and further action.
The case is under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries a fine of up to RM5,000 or a jail term of up to two years or both, if convicted.
