MATU: Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad has approved three Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) at Kampung Sawai.
These involved the upgrading of the Kampung Sawai hall costing RM170,000, jetty and pontoon upgrade costing RM120,000 and the construction of the pre-school building costing RM560,000.
Additional funds are also allocated to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of SK Kampung Sawai amounting to RM30,000.
Safiee also presented a cheque for RM12,000 to SK Kampung Sawai and the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK).
He handed over the grants during a Majlis Ramah Tamah Gawai Raya SK Kampung Sawai programme on Wednesday (July 6).
He also presented the Sarawak Nilam Special Award and incentives to Chinta Natalie.
