BINTULU: Three workers’ quarters at Jalan Sungai Nyigu here were destroyed in a fire yesterday morning.
Bintulu Fire Station chief, Di-Hatta Gobel said eight personnel led by Senior Fire Officer II Zulkifli were dispatched to the scene after they received a distress call at 10.47am.
He said the quarters, measuring 60 x 30 metres each, were completely destroyed and the firefighters managed to prevent fire from spreading to two neighbouring quarters.
Di-Hatta said no casualties or injury were reported in the incident and the actual cause of the fire was still under investigation.
