KUCHING: Three youths in an Avanza sustained injuries on their hands and faces after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned at the traffic light junction under a flyover at Jalan Song/Tun Jugah here yesterday morning.
The accident occurred at about 11.30am when the Avanza, which came from Kuching International Airport, was heading towards Jalan Song. As the vehicle turned into Jalan Song, it collided with a Proton Saga car.
The impact of the collision caused the Proton Saga to flip out of control and turn turtle on the road.
Passers-by helped the three youths to come out of their vehicle before calling for an ambulance.
The injured trio was later taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Proton Saga was unhurt.
The accident caused a massive traffic jam in the area.
