KUCHING: Newly released smart phones with decent prices are great performers, according to public feedback.
Joel Kyle, 21, thinks that Vivo V15 Pro is a great new phone for the average consumer.
“At a price of RM1,799, the public are able to get flagship features such as a fingerprint sensor, a triple camera setup, a bezel-less display and a crisp amoled screen.
“The manufacturer only cut corners on the CPU which is the snapdragon 675 which was released last year. Although it’s not the latest, I still think it’s powerful enough for a mid range phone,” he said.
Kyle added that Vivo Nex 2 was a great alternative for people who disliked the notch. “For a price of RM3,199, you can turn your phone around to use the main camera as your selfie camera.
“You also get to use the second display as a way to multitask efficiently. Powered by the high end Snapdragon 845, this phone is a powerhouse for those who want to push it to the limit.
“A bit too expensive, this phone isn’t for the average consumer. New technology takes time to develop and once it hits the mainstream, the price will fall,” he said.
Borhan Alvissena Kuno, 19, said Vivo V15 Pro used the latest Android (9.0) Pie to keep up to date.
“I am glad it has kept the headphones jack, not getting rid of it like many others, e.g Apple & Huawei. Also having the three rear view cameras each with their different pixel bits and aperture gives the phone a range of options,” he added.
Borhan was, however, disappointed the phone came in only two colours ̶ topaz blue and coral red.
He hopes the smartphone will come in more colours in future.
