My thoughts on free tertiary education by the Sarawak government really pushes us Sarawakians to be more progressive and productive to aim higher in education. It also enables more youths to pursue their academic aspirations in life so that we can lead and also contribute more to the society. Hence, the Sarawak government plays a significant role to our society to enhance our social development, to provide for our needs for education without facing any difficulties so that we can smoothly achieve anything, us, youth want to accomplish and to grow and develop more than we could imagine. This leads us youths to initiate our education, contribute towards society, educate one another so that we can build a better community in Sarawak.

Offering free tertiary education can significantly benefit individuals and society by increasing accessibility and reducing financial barriers to education. It can enhance workforce skills, empower communities, and promote economic growth. Providing free tertiary education is a commendable initiative that can help level the playing field and make higher education more accessible to a wider range of individuals. It can alleviate financial burdens, allowing students to focus on their studies without worrying about tuition fees. The Sarawak government’s initiative aims to uplift its population, fostering a more educated and skilled populace.

It is encouraged and an excellent programme to ensure our aspiring talent is kept within the country. However, it should be given on equal standing for every candidate and not just for certain group of people unless they are truly deserving.
