I commend the Premier’s initiative to help the state’s civil servants. It is a good initiative by the Sarawak government.
Better salaries will lessen the burdens of the civil servants.
SYAWALNURIZAM AWANG ZAINI, 29,
(Civil servant)
I support the initiative announced by the Premier. State civil servants will benefit from the new salary scheme. The cost of living is now rising and will continue to rise in the future. So, the new salary scheme will be something we value in our latter years.
DEBRA MARIE, 25,
(Civil servant)
The new salary scheme will ease the burdens of the state’s civil servants. For example, they have to pay for many things including insurance, road tax and loans. With the new salary scheme, perhaps they will have some money to save and those who want to further their studies can do so.
JAMES HAVIT,33,
(Civil servant)
This salary scheme is beneficial, especially to families who are working in the civil service. I applaud the state government’s effort to set up its own salary scheme for the state’s civil servants.. This is a great step forward.
TIJAN HANK, 35,
(Village chief)
This initiative proposed by our Premier is a good one as it will help civil servants by reducing their burdens. Economically, things have been difficult. Therefore, the salary scheme will be an extra help for all of them.
