KUCHING: About 359 graduates from Technology College Sarawak yesterday received their scrolls during the 18th TCS Graduation Ceremony.

At the event held at Dewan Majma, happiness could be seen on the faces of the graduates, their parents, and teaching staff.

Among those graduating were graduates from Sabah. New Sarawak Tribune met with these students to share their thoughts on studying in Sarawak.

I started studying in Sarawak in 2019 and graduated last year. The environment here is as pleasant as back in my hometown. I chose to study in Sarawak because I wanted to try new experiences and to take up Business Administration. I have had a good time here. The people here, too, have been amazing!

Sarawak is a beautiful state which has many interesting places. That is what attracted me to continue my studies here in Diploma in Technology Management. Actually, I have only been here for over a year since I started in 2020 which was during the COVID-19 pandemic. What I can say is that Sarawak is quite developed compared to many other states and I hope to see it grow even more in the future.

I have learnt many new things after studying in Sarawak since 2020. Not only in terms of education but also in life, self management, and time management while taking my diploma in Technology Management. For me, the delivery of technology in Sarawak is indeed more sophisticated and forward-looking. I am glad I  choose  to pursue my studies here.

Nurulain Juzailah Azis, 25
(From Beaufort, Sabah)

Sarawak is one of my top choices for continuing my studies with a mission to move out of my hometown. After living in Sarawak for almost four years, I find the environment, especially in Kuching, very enjoyable. The diversity of culture and religion here is not much different from Sabah and that is what makes me  comfortable and quickly adapt to living here.
