The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain expected to occur in several states in Malaysia, including Sarawak, until 7pm today (July 12).
In Sarawak, the affected areas include Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Samarahan, Sarikei (Julau and Meradong), Sibu, and Mukah.
This warning has been issued due to indications of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour, which is likely to persist for an hour or more. It was issued at 2.25pm today.
