BINTULU: Residents of longhouses within Sungai Arip, Bawang, Tau and Sungai Anak have been reminded to tighten the standard operating procedures (SOPs) at their respective areas to curb and control the spread of Covid-19.
This was said by Penghulu Lasit Bajieng, a community leader for Sungai Arip, Bawang, Tau and Sungai Anak, when met recently.
“This situation is worrying because infections are already occurring at longhouses,” he said.
He also pointed out that every village development and security committee (JKKK) play a vital role to ensure that the SOPs implemented are strictly adhered to.
“Temporarily ban outsiders from entering the longhouse to curb the spread of the virus, and avoid going to other areas unnecessarily,” he said.
However, some longhouses with internet access are using the MySejahtera application, such as Rumah Dicka Anthony in Sungai Anak, Selangau.
