KUCHING: Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew has vowed to give his best to Sarawak.
“(We will) develop Sarawak so that it will be a high-income state by the year 2030,” said the Assistant Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts in a Facebook post on Wednesday (Jan 5).
He gave this undertaking following the swearing-in of the new State Cabinet on Tuesday night (Jan 4) at the State Legislative Assembly Complex here before Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.
“Congratulations to the three Deputy Chief Ministers, seven other full Ministers and 26 Assistant Ministers on their appointments,” said Ting, who is also secretary-general of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP).
Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang witnessed the swaering-in ceremony.
Each minister and assistant minister received a letter of appointment, took their oath of office and signed a letter of oath.
