SIBU: President of the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing on Monday (Dec 21) paid a visit to ten longhouses in Dudong constituency, starting as early as 4.30am.

The visit was to gain a clear understanding on local issues and fostering closer relationships with the people.

During the visit, he found that most of the longhouses were in “poor” conditions and basic facilities such as water and electricity supply were still incomplete and some without proper roads.

Tiong assured that he would submit the problems to the State government and also tried to raise funds for the longhouses in the Dudong areas.

At the same time, he will submit the residents’ application to the relevant parties.

Tiong hopes that the component parties of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) can really provide the best service to the people where the leadership should set an example to party members and be open-minded.
