KUCHING: Kuching’s renowned private medical centre – Timberland Medical Centre (TMC) last Sunday joined alliance with Sarawak oldest established retail chain of supermarket by announcing its commitment to join its “Member & Merchant Programme”, offering more valued added discount and privileges exclusively for H&L members!

With immediate effect, all H&L members are entitled to special discount of 5 per cent for most rooms and health screening packages.

“We are honoured to welcome the partnership of Timberland Medical Centre, a renowned and established brand in the medical industry into our member and merchant program, and we are confident that with their vast of experience and expertise in the medical field, our members will benefit greatly from their range of products and services” said Rita Ting, the Corporate Marketing Strategy Manager of H&L Retail.

“We are confident that this programme is indeed a value added benefit to our H&L members as well as the participating merchants both locally as well as fr om West Malaysia. It is indeed a “win-win” situation,” she said.

“Time has proven to us that this programme is indeed a value added benefit to many, especially those who are H&L Member Card holders. Given time, H&L is confident that the programme will mature and ultimately become one of the most successful loyalty programmes that will build an avenue where merchants can further increase their brand awareness and revenue by linking them up to their potential and target customers and can truly give more back to the members in the network,” she added.

Meanwhile, Timberland Medical Centre (TMC) Chief Marketing Officer, Aw Tai–Jak when interviewed commented that it is a great idea that H&L Retail Sdn Bhd, despite it being the oldest established retail chain brand in the local market has managed to emerge and grow with time, and came up with such a good idea that can bring together merchants and members as well as the public to get to know each other and in return bring mutual benefit to all parties.

“Founded in 1994, Timberland Medical Centre is a well-known medical and examination brand in private healthcare in Kuching. From its inception, Timberland Medical Centre has continuously improved to become one of the most popular hospitals for locals and international patients,” he said.

“This year we are going to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of our establishment. Dr. Lawrence Lee is a Geriatrician, a specialist in elderly care and the only one in private practice in Sarawak. Dr. Kho Wee Meng, a Dermatologist has started a Skin Clinic, and Dr. Voon Chee Yen, a Cardiologist has started a Heart Clinic to complement the other two existing Cardiologist at TMC.

With the increasing of number patients and specialist doctors, Aw added that their hospital will continue to upgrade their equipment and services in order better treat their patients.
