By MAYA GREEN
It’s well past midnight, and I’m still awake,
Right here, deep in the Krian countryside,
For there’s no quietude tonight,
‘Tis the sound of rainfall, on a spree;
All around me, and also even out of sight.
On the course of life, take into account,
There is only one golfer, one ball, one put;
You’ll have to make it all count:
At the very least, to par the course;
Or better still, to do better then par.
But have no fear, let the course be,
Keep you calm, ignore the pounding heart,
Your worrying wouldn’t slow it down;
When the time comes in the morning,
You will take on the course, with calm.
