KUCHING: The Sarawak Chapter of the Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (Matta) is thrilled to announce the 19th Sarawak Matta Travel Fair from March 8 to 10 at The Hills Kuching.

Endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Malaysia, and supported by the Malaysian Aviation Group (MAG), the travel fair will feature 71 booths, up from last year’s 46.

Matta’s chairman, Oscar Choo, said that travel is about discovering new horizons, embracing diverse cultures, and creating lasting memories.

“The fair aims to make the travel experience accessible and memorable for all types of travellers, offering a comprehensive showcase of destinations, travel packages, and experiences,” he said.

Choo said that exhibitors, including airlines, tour operators, and national tourist organisations, have curated packages with an emphasis on both value and safety for solo adventurers, families seeking getaways, and business travellers.

“Moreover, Matta Fair goes beyond accessibility; it’s about giving back to communities and supporting sustainable tourism initiatives. The association encourages responsible and respectful travel, ensuring future generations can enjoy the wonders of the planet,” he added.
