KUCHING: Calling for all content creators and students in Sarawak to participate in the Second Tourism Short Video Contest themed ‘The Heartbeat of Sarawak’!

The contest hosted by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) invites participants to play a part in promoting the local tourism industry through their short videos, and win one of five cash prizes, with entries to be submitted before Dec 31.

It added that participants need to make short videos highlighting Sarawak’s diverse cultures, scenic spots, historical sites and unique experiences, including food, adventures and festivals.

According to a statement, the said contest is part of its continuing efforts to promote the Sarawak tourism industry and stimulate local economic growth.

“ACCCIS has secured the endorsement of the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts as its supporting partner, with the technical support from Kuching Filming and Publishing Association to co-organise this event,” it said.

Last year, ACCCIS organised a similar contest entitled ‘Unveil the Land of Hornbill’, which received some fascinating entries from local participants.

“This year, the contest remains open to all Sarawakians for free, with entries of short videos lasting between three and six minutes.

“Participants will stand a chance to win a total cash prize of RM21,500, with RM10,000 as the first prize, while the second and third prize winners will receive RM6,000 and RM3,000 respectively. In addition, there will also be five consolation prizes of RM500 each,” it said.

Those who are up for the challenge may submit their short video via the Google Form Link at https://forms.gle/7XkEy7ZG1PsSdxeJA where the Terms and Conditions for the contest can be found.

Aside from that, participants may also contact the ACCCIS secretariat at 082-428815 for more information.
