Sarikei League 2022
KUCHING: The Sarikei Division Football Association (PBBS) president Abang Zaini Abang Ismail stressed that they had not set a date to hold the Sarikei League for this year.
However, he said they would most likely hold the football tournament in June.
“We have not yet set a date for the 2022 Sarikei League.
“Our proposal is to start the prestigious tournament in June,” said Abang Zaini to Arena Suara Sarawak/New Sarawak Tribune.
He added that PBBS will also hold a meeting to discuss in more detail on the matter, especially on the date and related matters.
Also vice president of the Sarawak Football Association (FAS), Abang Zaini said, his side had to give way to the organising of several other sports programmes first.
“There are several other sports programmes going on in the very near future.
“Because we do not want a clash of time and date, that’s why PBBS is trying to start the Sarikei League 2022 competition in that month (June),” explained Abang Zaini while also believing that the Sarikei League 2022 competition will go smoothly as expected.
