DATUK Snowdan Lawan hopes that Sarawak will be self-reliant, and become one of the wealthiest and strongest economies in Malaysia.
The Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Youth chief also hopes that the welfare of Sarawakians was well taken care of.
“On this day July 22, Sarawak celebrates Sarawak Independence Day, a day to commemorate self-rule from the British Empire.
“Happy Sarawak Day! Everyone should be proud of the achievements thus far,” he said in his Sarawak Day message.
Sarawak continued to be a unique role model with her different ethnicities, cultures, religions and languages, he said.
“We must continue to remain united and work towards prosperity for all.
“It is also important that the sovereignty of this nation and rights of her people are safeguarded and protected,” he added.
To ensure peace and understanding continue to prevail, Sarawakians must say no to racism, and avoid provocation that stir animosity, he said.
