KUCHING: Toyota Malaysia is celebrating its 50th year of production in the country across all its branches nationwide.
The first Toyota model that was produced in Malaysia was the 1968 Toyota Corolla KE 10.
For this occasion, UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd at Jalan Pending here is holding a two-day showroom event which ends today (July 14).
The nationwide celebration is held to thank their customers for their continuous support to the company.
Meanwhile, the Toyota showroom in Pending is showcasing the 1968 Toyota Corona for customers today at 11am. There will also be a classic car club showcase at the outlet whereby the owners will be showcasing their cars for public viewing.
Besides, customers will also be given an exclusive 50 years mug upon registration at the Pending showroom.
A total of 12 Toyota car models are available for test drives by customers to experience the comfort of driving a Toyota unit.
Among the activities available for the customers are the opportunity to get free health screening from Shine Pharmacy, while for the ladies, they can get free manicure and Tupperware will also be showcasing and selling their products at the outlet.
