MIRI: One hundred and sixty-three traffic summonses (Pol 257) were issued in a 10-hour operation called Ops Motosikal last Sunday.
Thirty-one traffic police personnel mounted roadblocks at Jalan Marina, Coco Cabana and Times Square from 5pm to 3am.
The summonses they issued were for various offences such as riding without licences (47), no side mirrors (63), custom-made exhaust systems (30) and fancy number plates (23).
In the operation, they inspected 94 motorcycles and 180 persons (156 men and 24 women).
The team did not arrest any person but they did seize 77 motorcycles.
