KUCHING: The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Sarawak Chapter will hold its travel fair at The Hills here from August 31 to September 1.
Its chairman Oscar Choo said the fair promises to be a premier event for travel enthusiasts and industry professionals.
“The Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) Sarawak Chapter is proud to unveil Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) of Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and MASWings as the official airline partner for this year’s event.
“This year’s fair will feature a comprehensive showcase of destinations, travel packages and experiences tailored for every kind of traveller.
“Exhibitors, including airlines, tour operators, and national tourist organisations, will offer packages that emphasise value, safety and sustainability. Licensed tour operators will also share insights on the future of travel, sustainability in tourism, and emerging trends,” he said during a press conference at Matta HQ yesterday (July 3).
Choo added that there will be approximately 60 booths with some 20 agencies participating in the fair and urged those interested to contact them to secure a booth.
MATTA Fair emphasises responsible travel and supports local communities and sustainable tourism initiatives, encouraging travellers to be respectful guests.
“Admission to the fair is free, with doors open from 10 am to 10 pm on Saturday and Sunday,” he said.
