KUCHING: The Sarawak Housing Purchaser Claims Tribunal has postponed its decision on five cases against three housing developers to a later date.
The three-member panel comprising tribunal president Datuk Maznah Dasmi, Abdul Aziz Ariffin and Trabawan Mandi said they had not been able to come to a decision over the disputes during the hearing on Thursday.
Maznah said the first three cases consisted of four claimants against housing developer, RJ Realty Sdn Bhd.
“The claimant’s disputes include Liquidated Ascertained Damages (LADs), defects, non-compliance with specifications and late completion of common facilities,” she told a press conference after the hearing.
She said the other two cases were against Ikram Suria Sdn Bhd and Sentoria Borneo Land Sdn Bhd.
“The dispute against Sentoria Borneo Land Sdn Bhd was over delay in completing the house within the stipulated period.
“The same goes for Ikram Suria Sdn Bhd whereby there has been a six-month delay in completion of common facilities,” she explained.
Maznah said the panel would come to a decision at another hearing with the claimants and respondents.
