MUKAH: Two men and a woman were arrested for possessing drugs during a raid at a hotel here on Tuesday (Mar 2).
Mukah District police chief DSP Jimmy Panyau said during the 10.15am raid, police also seized two small transparent plastic packets containing crystalline substances suspected to be methamphetamine weighing 0.59g and 0.13g respectively.
“The trio, aged between 22 and 32 years old, were taken to the police station for further investigation. Urine tests conducted on them were found to be drug positive,” he said in a statement via WhatsApp today (Mar 3).
The suspects were investigated under Sections 12 (2) and 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, while a four-day (March 3-7) remand order had been applied against them.
