KUCHING: A tripartite discussion on issues relating to Sarawak and Sabah’s rights on oil and gas resources took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya, yesterday.

The discussion was attended by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Shafie Apdal.

The meeting was a separate forum from the MA63 (Malaysia Agreement 1963) Steering Committee to discuss and address issues on oil and gas rights vis-a-vis the Federal Constitution and MA63.

No immediate details were available on the one-and-half hour discussion.
