LAWAS: Phase 2 of the Trusan Mosque Construction Project is expected to be completed by April.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan along with Lawas MP Datuk Henry Sum Agong recently visited Kampung Senduyun, Trusan to survey the progress of the project, which is 70 percent complete.

The project, which began in 2019, costs RM1.5 million.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the mosque will be able to accommodate about 800 jemaah at any one time and it will provide comfort to the locals for recreation.

Also present were Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA) director Datuk Ubaidillah Abdul Latif, Deputy Limbang Resident Sebi Abang, and Lawas District Officer Ladin Atok.
