LAWAS: The redevelopment of Trusan town continues to be fully intensified in efforts to improve the business sector as well as tourism based on culture and the environment here.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the beauty of nature that is rich with flora and fauna can attract tourists to the town.

“The beauty of nature with its rich green flora and fauna will attract tourists including to the existing Batang Trusan Resort.

“All these will be an attraction and will be able to further develop business and the tourism sector which is based on nature and our culture,” he said in a press conference after visiting several project sites here, recently.

He added the main project of this redevelopment focuses on the construction of the Trusan Sub-District Office building, Anjung Usahawan and the airport.

During the same visit, Awang Tengah also inspected the Kampung Awat-Awat project facilities including the construction of the jetty which will be completed by the end of this year.

He said, the jetty would connect the area to other villages and facilitate link to the existing bridge.

There is also a project to upgrade the water supply system including a high level water tank being built in the village which would provide water supply to every house, he added.
