KUCHING: More than 30 children from The Salvation Army were feted to an early Christmas celebration by Tun Jugah Shopping Mall on Tuesday night.
The children, aged between 7 to 17 years old, were treated to a scrumptious dinner by the management team of the mall.
After the dinner, they joined in a Christmas carolling by members of the Holy Trinity Kenyalang Youth Group. As a special treat, Santa Claus made an appearance at the event and distributed candies to the children of the Home as well as guests who were present to witness the Christmas carolling.
Tun Jugah and its staff also donated some gifts to the children of the Home. They were handed over by their Senior Group Manager Khairul Azizan Alias to Major Mary Ng of the Salvation Army.
The event is an annual activity organised by Tun Jugah. However, this was the first time The Salvation Army joined the media in celebrating the festive season.
