KUCHING: Two Turkish companies are keen to expand their businesses in Sarawak, said Turkish Ambassador to Malaysia Emir Salim Yuksel.
One of the companies already has a presence in Malaysia, he added.
“We have introduced two key Turkish companies. One is already established here, while the other is exploring opportunities for collaboration,” Yuksel told reporters after a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia today (July 26).
He was drawn to Sarawak’s ambitious plans for economic growth, particularly in green energy, advanced technology, infrastructure, aerospace, and digitalisation.
“These are areas where Turkey excels. We have companies working in these sectors, which is why I brought them to meet the Premier.
“We discussed their capabilities and how to leverage Sarawak’s strengths for mutual benefit,” he added.
