KUCHING: An online webinar was held here recently by Sarawak Kuching Polytechnic (PKS) in collaboration with the Sarawak Land and Survey Department.

The webinar on online Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) was entitled “Geomatic Career Dialogue and IR 4.0 Challenges with Industry”.

It was held with the aim to provide exposure to students on the new Lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) scanning technology for Geomatics study programmes and their careers after graduation from PKS. Certainly it was an eye-opening and benefitting session for the students.

PKS director Jamaliah Ahmad officiated at the opening of the TVET webinar.

Two speakers from the Sarawak Land and Survey Department, namely Ramzi Abdillah and Roslan Mohamad Ramli were invited for this programme.

Participating in this programme were Diploma students in Semesters One to Five and Geomatics lecturers.
