KUCHING: For the upcoming Chinese New Year, TVS is screening the films of Stephen Chow, a well-known Hong Kong comedian.
The first film, Justice, My Foot!, will premiere on Chinese New Year’s eve and tells the story of a lawyer whose reputation affects his ability to have a family. However, once a wealthy man’s son murders someone, the shyster Sung (Chow) frees the killer and then retires to repent for his own wrongdoings.
Directed by Johnnie To, Anita Mui and Ng Man-tat in the lineup, the success of this movie landed Chow the Best Actor Award in Asia Pacific Film Festival.
Another film, Love On Delivery, follows the story of a delivery boy named Ho Kam-An (Chow) who falls in love with a client named Lily. He is beaten by the bully Judo Master Black Bear, who admires Lily, while attempting to pursue her.
Love On Delivery is directed by Lee Lik-chi and includes Christy Chung and Ng Man-tat as casts.
Catch Justice, My Foot! on Tuesday, Feb 1 and Love On Delivery on Feb 2, both at 12.30 pm only at TVS, channel 122 Astro and MYTV.
