KUCHING: TVS Sarawak is thrilled to announce the premiere of their newest comedy-drama series, “Cigu! Nadai Bisi Utai,” which will air every Tuesday at 9.30 pm.

The comedy-drama series aired its first episode on March 26, after a short clip went viral on TVS’ tiktok.

The series has 13 episodes that run for 30 minutes each episode where it shows Sarawak’s diverse culture heritages by using both Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Iban.

This show promises to take viewers on an emotional journey of Halim’s attempt to instil knowledge and compassion through mishaps and meaningful moments.

The series features Harris Alif with the role of Cikgu Halim, the recent graduate teacher who accepted a position in a rural Sarawak primary school, SK Bukit Ruai.

However, he decided to quit his job as a teacher at the rural school after just 30 days to avoid penalties from the Ministry of Education.

According to a press release by TVS, this hilarious comedy-drama aims to make the audience laugh in every episode while exploring the struggles and victories faced by Cikgu Halim.

Cikgu Halim needed to gain support from Mr John for his transfer request by preparing and executing the English programme in English organised by SK Ruai Sebuyau.

In the final episode, Halim finally gets to say goodbye to the woods that have become his home after Mr John hands him the letter of support for the transfer.

The actors who will be featured in this series are Azanena Kelana, Azrul Amri, Aliff Firdaus, Weldrick Virgil, Willy Alfred and Hazis Wahab and they all play significant roles to make the series successful.
