KUCHING: Preparations are being made by TVS to provide a full coverage of the upcoming Malaysian Games (SUKMA XXI) 2024 to the public.
TVS chief media officer Mohamad Sardon Zainal said that the preparation is at about 80 percent.
“Considering that this is the first time TVS is becoming the broadcaster for SUKMA, we are actually busy right now setting up the broadcasting section.
“Before this, the main broadcaster for SUKMA would be none other than Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM).
“Now, RTM has become our vendor for the broadcasting section. But that being said, I am proud that TVS is the broadcaster for SUKMA of this year,” he said.
He said this in a press conference after attending a filming of the Fir and Afick Tonight Show at Cityone Megamall here on Friday night (August 2).
The opening ceremony for SUKMA 2024 will be held this coming August 17 at Stadium Sarawak, Petra Jaya here, and will be broadcast live by TVS, RTM and UKAS.
The event will cater to around 30,000 visitors and audience, with 10,000 more allocated for athletes and notable guests. Tickets will be made free for the public.
