BETONG: Three individuals, including two teenagers, were left injured following a two-vehicle collision near Ulu Layar junction last night (Feb 21).
The accident, involving a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle and a trailer lorry laden with oil palm fruits, happened around 9.19 pm.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Betong station were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call.
Upon arrival, they found the 4WD driver and passengers had already been rescued out of the vehicle by passers-by.
The injured victims, aged 14, 15 and 43, were rushed to Betong Hospital in an ambulance. The extent of their injuries is not known.
Meanwhile, the lorry driver escaped unscathed in the collision.
