KUCHING: Two occupants of a car cheated death albeit with injuries after the car they were travelling in collided with a lorry at Jalan Stephen Yong here on Saturday.
State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesperson said during the 7.20am incident both vehicles were travelling in the same direction prior to the collision.
It is believed that the driver of the car had lost control of his vehicle before rear-ending the lorry.
Bomba received a distress call at 7.25am. Firefighters from Batu Lintang fire station were deployed to the scene.
Upon arrival they found both occupants of the car pinned inside the wreckage.
The victims were extricated from the wreckage using rescue tools and were handed over to paramedics for early treatment before they were rushed to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment.
