MIRI: Two local men were apprehended by the police recently during a raid in a house at Tudan area here.
The two were suspected of getting involved in illegal gambling. In the 6pm raid on Tuesday, the men in their 40s and 50s were arrested while playing the ‘holo’ game without realising the police presence.
Police also seized gambling apparatus and some cash. All the seized items and suspects were taken to Miri Police Station for further investigation. The raid was conducted following a public tip-off.
