TANJUNG MANIS: Two male victims died after they were electrocuted, while a trailer lorry was on fire.
The incident took place at Kampung Semalau, and an emergency call was received by Tanjung Manis Bomba station at 9.15am this morning.
In a statement, the state Fire and Rescue Operation Centre said a team from the station was despatched and arrived at the scene.
“The operation commander on the scene reported that a trailer lorry was in flame with an excavator loaded on its trailer.
“The excavator’s arm touched an electric line above. Two adult males at the scene were unconscious and were possibly being electrocuted.
“Both victims were pronounced dead by medical officials at the fire scene,” said the operation centre.
Firemen conducted the extinguishing deed and were able to control and put out the flame before heading back to their station.
