SAMARAHAN: Two teenagers were injured after they were knocked off their bicycles by a car at 2.55pm at Jalan kampung Baru near here.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said a group of five teenagers, aged between 13 and 16 years old, were cycling in a paceline towards Kota Samarahan.
“The teenagers were cycling in a line when a sedan car, which was approaching them from behind, knocked two of the cyclists,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Alexson added that the driver, 28, was unharmed while the two victims were brought to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for treatment.
The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
