BETONG: A road accident occurred on Jalan Suri Debak Spaoh yesterday evening (May 27) after a Proton Iswara skidded off the road and overturned, leaving the two male occupants with injuries.
The Betong Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) quickly responded to the emergency call. The victims, identified as Peter Jose Majeng, 32, and Raffie Ulan, 26, sustained facial injuries.
Firefighters found both victims inside the overturned vehicle but not trapped in the 5.56 pm accident. The rescue team extricated the victims through the rear door and provided initial medical treatment at the scene.
Peter was transported to Betong Hospital by the department’s Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle while Raffie was subsequently taken to the same hospital by a Civil Defence Force (APM) Debak ambulance for further medical attention.
The operation ended at 6.50 pm.
