KUCHING: Two individuals, including a woman, sustained injuries in a two-vehicle accident in front of Penview Hotel, Jalan Tun Razak here, yesterday.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from the Tabuan Jaya and Padungan stations were rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call around 9.55pm.
The accident involved a Perodua Bezza and a Perodua Viva.
A 29-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Bezza, sustained injuries and was rescued out of the car by the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit.
Meanwhile, the Viva driver, a 27-year-old man, also sustained injuries and was rescued by EMRS unit.
Both victims were given first aid at the scene before being taken to the hospital for treatment.
The extent of their injuries is not known.
The Bezza driver and a passenger in the Viva escaped injuries.
