KUCHING: Two young lads sustained injuries following a two-vehicle collision along Jalan Sultan Tengah, Santubong today evening (Aug 11).
Firemen from Petra Jaya station were promptly despatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call around 4.50pm, said a statement.
Upon arriving, the team leader confirmed that the accident involved a Perodua Kancil and a Proton Saga that were travelling in opposite directions, prior to the crash.
They found out one of the two drivers was trapped in the driver seat. He, was successfully extricated using special equipment by the rescuers,
Meanwhile, the other driver managed to get out from his car before the firemen arrived.
Both men in their 20s were handed over to the paramedics to be taken to the hospital for further treatment.
The operation wrapped up at 5.50pm after ensuring the road is clear from debris.
