Two men injured in motorcycle collision

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Two motorcyclists sustained injuries following a three-vehicle accident along KM11, Jalan Kota Samarahan-Mambong earlier today (June 13).

Kota Samarahan police chief DSP Jaimi Husin in a statement, said that the accident, involving two Yamaha motorcycles and a Perodua Myvi, happened around 6.50am.

Preliminary investigations found that the crash occurred when a motorcycle ridden by a 26-year-old man from Serian to Kuching, had collided with another motorcycle in front, that was ridden by a 21-year-old man.

“Following that, both riders fell to the right side of the road and one of the motorcycles crashed into a car travelling in the opposite direction.

“As a result, the 26-year-old victim sustained a fractured injury to his right thigh while, the 21-year-old sustained minor injuries on his right hand and shoulder,” he said.

Both victims were taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for further medical treatment.

Jaimi noted that the case was being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
