KUCHING: Two local men were arrested by police after they were found in possession of drugs last Friday morning.
Acting on information received, the police raided a house in Kampung Bintawa Hilir in Petra Jaya around 11.00am.
During the raid, the police found a brown bag containing four straw tubes and five plastic packets filled with crystalline substance, believed to be syabu, with an estimated weight of 6.03 grammes.
The suspects, aged 31 and 54, from Kampung Bintawa Hilir, were taken to a police station for further investigation. They were also tested positive for drugs.
The case was being investigated under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 which provides for life imprisonment upon conviction.
