MIRI: The Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) on Monday (May 24) delivered two metric tonnes of food to flood victims in the Mulu district.

According to the minister in charge of Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee and Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin, the food was flown from Miri to Mulu at 9.30 am by a Bomba Augusta AW 139 helicopter, piloted by Captain Faridullahamin Mohd Noh and co-pilot Saifudin Ladulu.

Lee was met after witnessing preparations by Bomba personnel at the Miri airport to transport the food aid to the flood victims. 

Among the flood-hit areas are Kampung Batu Bungan, Kampung Melinau Mulu, Mulu Sub-district office, SK Batu Bungan and Mulu Health Clinic.
