SIBU: Following the closure of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Methodist after one of its teachers tested positive for Covid-19, two other primary schools here will also be closed effective from tomorrow (Mar 19) until March 26.
Sibu District Education Office (PPD), in a statement today (Mar 18), said the two schools are Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) St Mary and SK Abang Ali.
“The listed schools are closed until further notice after discussions with the Sibu Divisional Disaster Management Committee, Sibu Division Health Office, and Sibu PPD,” a spokesperson from PPD.
Meanwhile, SK Sungai Durin, SK Ulu Durin Kiba, SK Sungai Naman, SK St Rita, SJKC Sacred Heart Chinese, SJK UK Daik, SJKC Chung Sing and SK Sentosa will also be closed until March 26.
