KUCHING: The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) rescued two drivers who were trapped inside their vehicles in separate crashes on Friday.
According to a report, the first incident occurred at Mile 9, Kuching-Serian Road while the second happened at Datuk Stephen Yong Road, Batu Kawa.
It was understood that Batu Lintang firefighters were despatched to both locations, which occurred two hours apart.
“Both drivers had lost control of their vehicles.
“The first incident, involving a four-wheel-drive vehicle, occurred around 5.30pm while the second incident, involving a sedan car, occurred at 7pm.” the report said.
Both victims were still trapped inside their vehicles when the firefighters arrived at the scenes.
The victims were handed over to the Civil Defence Force (APM) and the Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) unit for further treatment after they were rescued.
