Two women lodge reports over break-in

KUCHING: A 51-year-old woman lodged a police report after her house in Bandar Baru Semariang was broken into by thieves early yesterday.

According to the victim, she discovered the break-in after she woke up at around 4.30am.

Upon checking her belongings, she found her handbag and RM900 were missing.

In a similar incident, a woman lost more than RM3,000 in cash and belongings after her house was broken into early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at around 3.00am when the 42-year-old from Chawan Road woke up after hearing some noise in the house.

The victim screamed for help after seeing two unknown men in her house.

After the suspects fled the scene she checked her belongings and found three mobile phones, RM800 in cash and three watches worth more than RM3,000  were missing.

Police were investigating both cases.
