SOUTH Korean boy band, TXT has just set a new record on the Billboard charts and has broken the records for most No.1 albums of any K-Pop artist on Top Album Sales Chart.

Billboard announced on November 17 local time that TXT’s new mini album “The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY” had debuted at No. 1 on its Top Album Sales chart, landing it as the best-selling album of the week in the United States.

With this success, TXT has broken BTS’s record for the most No. 1 albums of any K-pop artist.

The group is now the first K-pop act ever to score seven No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, which they previously topped with “minisode 1: Blue Hour,” “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE,” “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child,” “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION,” “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL,” and “minisode 3: TOMORROW.”

“The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY” also debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, making TXT only the second K-pop artist in history to land six different albums in the top five of the Billboard 200, following BTS—and the second K-pop artist ever to score 11 different entries overall.

Based on the music data by Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY” earned a total of 98,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on November 14. The album’s total score consisted of 95,500 traditional album sales and 2,500 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which translates to 3.74 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week.

Before “The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY,” TXT previously entered the top five of the Billboard 200 with “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” (which peaked at No. 5), “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” (No. 4), “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” (No. 1), “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” (No. 3), and “minisode 3: TOMORROW” (No. 3).
