KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, attended the wedding reception of the Sultan of Pahang’s daughter on Sunday (Sept 1).
It was the wedding reception of Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and FD Idzham Datuk Seri FD Iskandar.
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah were welcomed by Datuk Seri FD Iskandar Mohamed Mansor and his wife, Datin Seri Hafizah Zakaria, Tan Sri Datuk Mohamed Mansor Fateh Din and his wife, Puan Sri Zainun, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, and the non-executive chairman of Bursa Malaysia Tan Sri Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar.
The reception was a significant occasion for them as they had the opportunity to meet the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
They also met with the Sultanah, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj, and the Crown Prince of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah.
The ceremony commenced with the couple’s grand entrance into the hall and concluded with the traditional cutting of the wedding cake by the bride and groom.
“We wish you a blessed marriage. May the union you have built be blessed by Allah.
“May the family you establish be a family of tranquility, love, and mercy,” said Wan Junaidi in a statement.
The grand affair was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, and the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.
