KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar joined military personnel for a breaking of fast event held at Kem Penrissen Batu 8 here yesterday (March 28).
Accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, Wan Junaidi celebrated members of the Eastern Field Command army and residents of the Toh Puan Norkiah Children’s Home.
During the event, the governor presented contributions to three recipients, including military personnel and children suffering from chronic illnesses, as well as six new Muslim converts.
Wan Junaidi also presented assistances to five asnaf among military personnel and 20 children from the Toh Puan Norkiah Children’s Home.
Later, the Head of State performed a congregational Maghrib prayer with the members of the army before partaking in a dinner event, followed by the congregational prayers of Isyak and Tarawih.
